The Steinfeld Alm
Perched at 1,740 meters above sea level, the Steinfeldalm rests in the heart of pristine alpine
nature at the foot of the majestic Großer Rettenstein (2,363 m) – one of the most striking
peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps, near Kirchberg in Tirol.
Surrounded by lush meadows, larch forests, alpine roses, and ancient stone pines, this rustic
mountain hut radiates authentic alpine charm. It’s a place for those seeking peace, simplicity,
authenticity, and true connection with nature – far away from noise, deadlines, and digital
distractions.
In summer, traditional alpine farming is still alive here: around 70 cattle and horses graze on
the surrounding pastures – a living tradition that shapes the soul of this special place.
The Hut
The cozy Steinfeldalm offers a warm and welcoming retreat for families, friends, and small groups.
Inside, you’ll find a spacious living kitchen with a traditional wood stove, two double bedrooms upstairs, and a bathroom/WC.
A charming room with three single beds is integrated into the old barn area, and a double sofa bed in the living room provides extra space.
In total, the hut comfortably accommodates 4 to 10 guests.
A mattress loft for up to three more people can also be set up in the barn – perfect for children or group stays.
Under the barn’s roof (no animals are housed here), you’ll find a multi-purpose space ideal for yoga, meditation, creative workshops, or indoor activities on rainy days.
The simple, traditional structure has been lovingly preserved – adding plenty of charm (and a little creakiness) to your stay.

Facilities
Every guest is welcomed with a cozy bed, warm blankets, and fresh towels.
The hut has running water and electricity, powered by two solar systems for both energy and hot water.
You can cook on the gas stove or, if you prefer, on the traditional wood-burning stove.
Outside, you’ll find a wood grill and campfire spots for unforgettable evenings under the stars.
Prices
€150 per day for up to 4 guests
€25 for each additional guests
20% discount for full-week bookings
A final cleaning fee of €80 applies, and the local tourism tax is charged separately.
Cancellations are free up to one week before arrival, after which 50% of the booking price will be charged.
